Cultivation of plants for energy production

The cultivation of plants for energy production has become more widespread in Poland in recent years. This kind of cultivation is a good way to increase the production of energy from renewable sources. The cultivation of these kind of plants could also offer a solution for the usage of wasteland (like slagheaps, minings or other low grade soils that have sufficient water supply).

Characteristics of plants qualified for the energy production are:

  • Huge annual growth of the parts useable as biomass,
  • High heating value,
  • Advanced resistance against vermin and diseases,
  • Low requirements for the soil (but a concomitant high level of ground water).

It is estimated, that those cultivations could be exploited for 15 to 20 years. The use of plants as a renewable energy source requires high initial investment but guarantees an attractive rate of return in the long run.

We offer:

  • Assistance with the acquisition of funds for the development of plantations,
  • Support and consultancy with the development of plantations,
  • Help with locating sales markets.
